My former colleague and friend Carla reached out to me about a sunrise elopement she was officiating for Bryon and Carlos. The two are both from Texas, and planned to get married along the iconic Lake Michigan.
The weather was perfect—clear skies and warm temperatures made it feel like summertime even though it was October. The ceremony took place during sunrise hours, which meant that there wasn’t much of a crowd around the beach. It was just Bryon, Carlos, and their friends watching from afar. As the sun rose above the lake Bryon and Carlos said their I dos.
